Staffordshire Charity Sevens Success

The Staffordshire Charity Sevens held at Trentham RUFC on 13^th July turned out to be a tremendous success both on and off the field.

The event was entered by 10 teams from across Staffordshire and beyond :-

Saints

Newcastle

Spartans

New Generation (Various)

Second City Stunts (Newport RFC)

Leek

Longton

Burntwood

Staffordshire Fijians Knights(Various)

The Plate was won by Fijians Knights and the Cup by Second City Stunts in a tremendous display of 7s rugby played in the true spirit of Rugby.

The event also raised £750.00 for the three hospices of Douglas McMillan, Katherine House and St Giles who all received £250.00 each.

Thank you to Neill Pow and his team for organising, SRUSR for the referees, everyone who donated prizes for the auction and raffle, hosts Trentham RUFC, and of course all the players, their families and the spectators for making it such a great day. Hopefully we can make this an annual event in the future.
